As the year is coming to an end, we have looked
back at 2008.
First of all we have produced almost 100 high quality
tracks of library music, that have been released and
published world wide. We also did some CD recording
for clients.
Peter has started his Morning Tune Up videos. Improvised
music to greet the new day, often on a daily basis.
Right now there are 111 episodes and more to come.
The feedback comes from all around the world and
is wonderful. The Morning Tune Ups are here:

For the first time in years we had a one week vacation
at a mountain cabin at 2000 m altitude in Italy. All
quiet and peaceful. When we came back, the material
to update our studio had arrived. We had to jump into
work: New Mac, new software, new hardware, new wiring,
1000+ pages handbooks and software without handbooks
- you name it. Now we have got used to our new workspace
and enjoy the new features.
In may our trusty wonderful gray cat died. So this
is the first christmas without cat. Who is going to
chase the little train in our christmas corner?
That's it from our side. We hope you had a great
2008 and we wish you an even better 2009 with lots
of luck, health and happyness! Let us know how you
are doing!
Peter & Elizabeth aka Blue Star
Almost spring, and we have re - released Himalaya
Himalaya is a re - release of an album that
was recorded in 1997 by Blue Star. Each track of the album is
related to an aspect of tibetan mythology and spirituality:
Dawatschen - The Land of bliss, a station on
the way to enlightenment.
Greetings From The Top Of The World - Just some
meditative music
Gyayum Tschenmo - The supreme mother.
Lung Gom - The ancient technique of walking
in trance without the need for food or sleep enabled Tibetan Lamas
to cross the large desert in short time.
Tschenresi’s Vow - Tschenresi is the Tibetan
god of compassion. He promised to liberate all beings that are
able to feel. As this task is far to much for an ordinary body,
Amithaba - the Buddha gave Tschenresi 1000 arms and 11 heads to
fulfill his mission.
Dakini Dance - Dakinis are the female expression
of theinner self and can give guidance along the way.
Tumo - The inner fire that is created in meditation
heats up the body. This enabled buddhist monks to survive in their
cold himalayan caves. It is said they can melt the snow with their
inner heat.
Blue Lotus - The Lotus is a symbol for spiritualtransformation.
It starts its life in the mud and turns into a beautiful flower.
Compassion for all living creatures and the desire for peace
and oneness are reflected in these instrumentals, that combine
ethnic instruments with electric and acoustic guitars, hammond
organ, electric pianos and many more instruments.

Feels So Good ist available worldwide from CdBaby
Feb. 1st 2007
The new cds have arrived! Yesterday we received the first copies
of Feels So Good.
We are so happy! The artwork looks beautiful and is the perfect
match for our music. Here is a little bit about the album's history:
What we had in mind was a cd that makes you feel good.
The kind of cd that becomes your favourite and lives in your
cd player as a resident.
Heartfelt music with depth that creates a beautiful atmosphere,
no matter if you listen, do something else or dream, during breakfeast
in bed, in the car or alone with your lover.
Music that reflects the feeling you have when everything is o.k.
and you are one with the present moment. When you can accept,
be and take complete responsibility for yourself.
Now you can feel your long lost dreams again, no matter how big
or small they are.
And there is this feeling that life is wild, exciting, even frightening
but no more boring.
Sometimes it’s in the small things: A smile, a spectacular
sky or the purring of your cat. Inspiration is everywhere.
And that is exactly what is expressed in the music of this cd
– feeling the source that makes life worth living.
The Tracks of this cd were inspired by these moments. Standing
by the window, playing my Les Paul (guitar), melodies just came
to me from everywhere. Then Elizabeth came in with her Hammond
C3 and wide soundscapes unfolded. Other tracks began with an organ
groove or mood that inspired my lines..
Creating „Feels So Good“ was absolutely easy. When
we started recording in autumn 2006, we went through our sketches
and found material for 2 cds. “Working” on the tracks
was pure fun and we kept things simple. Less overdubs and three
tracks just with guitar and piano. But also many rhythmic tracks
– all of them sunny and easy.
The total playing time is almost 70 minutes and it’s fun
to listen from the beginning until the end.

Nov. 20ths 2006
Our concert on Oct. 20ths was a real success. The location was
packed and the atmosphere hot. Here are 2 pics of the concert.
Btw - our sidemen, drums and bass were a cd that we had prerecorded
in our studio. Nobody in the audience seemed to notice or ask
questions - it was well accepted and a real live concert.

We also managed to have a fotoshooting at the nearby
lake. Our friend Gesa took some really cool b/w pics, and due
to the relaxed atmosphere, Peter even managed to smile on some
of them!

August 17th 2006
This has been our best summer ever. A daily swim in the nearby
lake, recording our music in a relaxed way. In between we made
recordings for our new studio guests, also in a very relaxed manner.
Sometimes it was almost frightening that everything is that beautiful.
( o.k., a few rainy days and a little computer trouble kept us
from loosing control completely ;-) )
We are getting a rave review for our CD Zen Blues in Germany's
Gitarre & Bass magazine.
Editor in chief Lothar Trampert has sent us his text in advance:
(translated from German)
What exactly is Blues? BLUE STAR – Peter Blue / guitar
&
Elizabeth Star / Fender Rhodes piano – have created in this
minimal and intense lineup an album that has it's blue roots not
in West Africa, America or Arabia but in Asia. . ,Zen Blues‘
(www.bluestar.de) is a relaxing soundscape - minimalism, handmade
with a economic lead guitar, tremolo rhodes and vice versa. Intensity
and vibe of this music are really something special. For me, Zen
Blues is the best album of the duo from southern Germany. Must
hear!

Now that the July issue of GUITAR PLAYER MAGAZINE is online,
we publish the review, that editor in chief Michael Molenda wrote:
Blue Star
Obing, Bavaria
Yellow Cab
Sneaking in all atmospheric and vibey like a soundtrack from a
Wim Wenders film, Yellow Cab suddenly drops in some snarky Peter
Green-flavored blues lines, and then splatters a gritty wash of
distortion all over your ears. Yummy. Guitarist Peter Blue also
channels bits of Santana and David Gilmour, and his phrasing is
sexy, vocal, and full of luscious space. This is a fabulous example
of truly cinematic music. myspace.com/sexyguitar.
We are so happy to be in GUITAR PLAYER.
Much more has happened in May:
We have composed and produced a track for a Film about our area,
the lake Chiemsee district. Beautiful images of sailing boats,
snowy mountains and wonderful nature blend nicely with the Blue
Star Sound.
Director Jürgen Martin, with whom we worked before, just
rang us up and we had fun making the music happen.

In a few days there will be the May celebration in our little

expected when the (previously stolen) may pole is returned on
a cart pulled by horses! A lot of bavarian beer will be on tap,

The end of "Flash" and how this site has been revived
The snow outside has been here since Nov. 17th.,
the longest winter in my whole life.
We moved to our new house / studio in February 2005
and a lot has happened since.
We now live in a small village in the Bavarian countryside.
Only hundred people live here in a rual environment. It´s
our new home.
The view, even from the studio is breathtaking.
The distant mountains, the Bavarian and Austrian alps have become
our companions through the seasons.
In the main village, 1 mile distance, is a Music
venue with interesting acts. (We saw the "Climax Blues
Band) And a beautiful natural lake,
the Griessee saw us swimming and sunbathing whenever possible.
It feels like constant vacation, due to the whole area!
Still we have worked a lot in 2005, but most of
it was fun.
Right now we have started to record a new Blue Star
CD. When we started, we found that already half of the material
was already there, sketches and jams from allover last year. Everything
is much easier these day.
Now the homepage needed a relaunch. Our former page
looked beautiful, but was programmed in Flash. We could not update
it on our own. So we went back to basic HTML in order to communicate
again. Not everything is working properly, the guestbook is not
working yet, but everybody can send his comment as e-mail. We
will paste it in the guestbook later.
During the last year we also did a lot of inner
exploration. Topics ranged from marketing to meditaion, releasing
blocks, goalsetting etc. Check our links for further information.
There is some nice stuff in there.
CD Baby is now our world wide distributor. Our last
3 albums are available on all major download services (Yahoo,
iTunes, Napster, MSN, Musicnet and MP3tunes
Our Library music is used worldwide; we especially
liked that a japanese tv station chose a track for a daily program..
We will perform live in 2006. We are in the process
of attracting our dream drummer and bass player!
It's time for dinner! Let us know something about
you, your life and your wildest dreams!
Take care;
Peter & Elizabeth aka Blue Star
